Jones Hospital. ========= Durant Daily-Democrat 14 Dec 2004 Larry Day Perkins, 57 Services for Larry Day Perkins, 57, Denison, Texas, who died at Wilson N. Jones Hospital, Friday, December 10, 2004, will be held in the Brown's Funeral Service Chapel, Tuesday, December 14, 2004, at 2 p.m. Brother Danny Woods will officiate. Larry was born July 28, 1947, in Albany, Oklahoma, to Odis Allen Perkins and Grace (Dunegan) Perkins. He attended schools in Durant, Oklahoma. Larry was married to Connie Yeary in 1993. Larry moved to Texas and lived there for the last 37 years. He was a machinist by trade. Larry worked for Superior Magnetics and Texas Instruments. He was of the Baptist Faith. He will be missed by friends and family. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Billy Perkins and Bobby Perkins; sister Loretta Perkins; and son-in-law Chris Bird. Larry is survived by his wife Connie of Denison, Texas; son Robert Perkins and wife Tina of Nampa, Indiana; daughter Shelly Bird and husband Tommy of Sherman, Texas; sister Elaine Harp of Burkburnett, Texas; brother Joe Perkins of Howe, Texas; step-sons David Stephenson of Sherman, Texas and Darin Stephenson; step-daughter Jamie Stephenson; grandchildren Leslie Whaley, Halie (Hail Ball ) Perkins, Chelsea (Chelsea Pooh) Bird, Tripp (Tripp The Dip) Bird, Maddy Gill, Brittany Thiele, Mickey Thiele, James Paul (J.P.) Stephenson, Tyler (Ty Ball) Stephenson, Leslie Cruz and Lyndsay Cruz; many other relatives; and a host of friends. Interment will be in the Rosehill Cemetery in Calera, Oklahoma, with Ricky Harp, Ronnie Harp, Donnie Harp, David Inman, Michael Greenway and Mike Robinson serving as pallbearers.
