Durant Daily Democrat Thursday, December 18, 2003 Irlan Tom Rose, 90 A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Highland Cemetery Chapel for Irlan Tom Rose, 90, Durant, who died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003, at Four Seasons Nursing Home. The Rev. Jody Shires will officiate. He was born Oct. 3, 1913, to Alford Lewis and Ada (Grooms) Rose. He attended Pirtle Elementary and Blue High School. He married Vera Irene Risner, in Pirtle, Aug. 10, 1935. He was a farmer 40 years and a caretaker for the Hickory Hollow Road and Gun Club 15 years. He loved to hunt, fish, and play dominoes. He was of the Baptist faith and will be missed by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Ada and Alford Rose; step-mother Clara Davidson Rose; and sons Larry Gene and Jessie Irlan Rose. Family hour will be 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
