Anthony Williams officiating. Family willbe meeting at Tina Bush's house next to Preston's before the service. Hewas born in Pirtle on Monday, Sept. 9, 1918, to Lous Alford and Ada Mary (Grooms) Rose. After his mother's passing when he was a child, his step- mother Clara (Davison) helped raise him. He passed from this life Sunday,Nov. 28, 2004, in Durant at the age of 86 years, 2 months and 19 days. Preston was a member of the Wolf and Coon Hunting Club. He was of theBaptist faith. He married Euda Margarett (Beal) March 4, 1940, in Pirtle. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, wife and brotherI.T. Rose. He is survived by sons Louis Rose and wife Judy, Durant, and Bobby Roseand wife Mary, Durant; sisters Alvis Beshirs, Durant, and Lorene Wynigear,Sulfur Springs, Texas; brother George Rose, Durant; sister Josey Cowan,Mesquite, Texas; grandchildren Johnny Lee Rose and wife Gina, Durant,LaWanda Ann Kennedy and husband Mike, Durant, Margaret Nichols and hhusband Mike, Sadler, Texas; and Richard and Tina Bush, Durant; great- grandchildren Brandon Sam, Durant, Heather Giest, Durant, Erica Rose,Sadler, Cody Nichols, Sadler, Chris Nichols, Sadler, Bethney Fine, Durant,Tyler Kennedy, Durant, Allyson Kennedy, Durant, and Brooke, Ryan and TylerBush, Durant; and great-great-grandchild Kolton Baeza, Durant. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Smith, Larry Marksberry, John Pusley,Dave Riley, J.R. Phillips, Hop Phillips and Mike Kennedy.
