Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Rice was born in Durant, Okla. She married Clyde Rice on Sept. 23, 1942, in Sayre, Okla. He passed away in 2003. She owned and operated Rice's Marine Supply and Arrowhead Farm and Ranch in Amarillo. She was a member of Paramount Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Linda Brown in 1987; a brother, Roy Brooks; and a sister, Polly Van Sant. Survivors include a son-in-law, David Brown of Amarillo; three grandchildren, Tamra Berry and husband, John, of Canyon, and Scott Brown and wife, Traci, and Nic Brown, all of Amarillo; three great- grandchildren, Mackenzie Berry and Te Berry, both of Canyon, and Brandi Brown of Amarillo; and five nieces, Phyllis Powell of Borger, Candace Van Sant and Shelia Shea, both of Sherman, and Amelia McCauley and Debbie Campbell, both of Amarillo. The family suggests memorials be to Bible Heritage Christian School, 4100 Republic Ave., Amarillo, TX 79109.
