Durant Daily Democrat Wednesday, March 3, 2004 Pearl Rutledge, 83 Services are pending with Coffey-Murray Funeral Home for Pearl Rutledge, 83, Durant, who died Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma, Durant. =========== Durant Daily Democrat Thursday, March 4, 2004 Sunday, March 7, 2004 Matilda Pearl (McDonald) Rutledge A service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel, Durant, for Matilda Pearl (McDonald) Rutledge, 83, Durant, who died Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma, Durant. Grandson Pastor Scott Hamilton will officiate. Rutledge was born May 9, 1912, in Kenefic to Robert Lee and Matilda Pearl (Howery) McDonald and married Roy Carter Rutledge Sept. 16, 1937, in Durant. A lifelong resident of Bryan County, she was a homemaker and member of the Assembly of God. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, cooking and being with her family and friends. Rutledge was preceded in death by her parents; husband; children Roy Lee Rutledge, Treva Woods and June Cook; 11 brothers and sisters. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
