Monday, September 15, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Richard Rials, 58 Services are pending with Coffey-Murray Funeral Home for Richard Rials, 58, Durant, who died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma. ========== Tuesday, September 16, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Richard Rials, 58 A service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Abundant Life Temple for Richard Rials, 58, Durant, who died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma. The Revs. Jerry Ellis, Bill Munds and Reuben Ellis will officiate. He was born Thursday, Nov. 16, 1944, in Longview, Texas, to George C. and Edna Irene Rials. He married ReNell Ellis Aug. 12, 1967, in Nampa, Idaho. He attended International Bible College of Ministry, San Antonio, Texas, four years, and two years junior college. He worked as a sports writer for the Altus Times 11 years and transferred to the Durant Daily Democrat in 1996, where he became the sports editor. He recently left his position at the Democrat to become sports editor of the Duncan Banner. He was a member of Abundant Life Temple. He enjoyed raising chickens, golf and all kinds of sports. He was preceded in death by his father. Committal service will be at 3:30 p.m. at Dripping Springs Cemetery, Noble, with Jeremy Robbins and members of the Durant High School Lions football team serving as pallbearers. Family hour is 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
