Runge Jr., 81 A memorial service will be at a later date for Col. John A. Runge Jr., 81, Durant, who died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003, at Oak Ridge Manor Nursing Home. The son of John A Sr. and Stella Pearl Runge, he was born Friday, May 19, 1922, in Bend, Ore. He was a retired air force colonel pilot, member of St. John's Episcopal Church 30 years and enjoyed golfing and boating. He married Patsy Muse Oct. 13, 2001, in Durant. Preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors include his wife of Durant, stepdaughter Gina Muse, Durant; sister Margaret Smith and husband Don, Big Bear Lake, Calif., and niece Christine Sphar and husband Joey, San Diego, Calif. ========= Sunday, August 17, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Col.
