::Resthaven Memorial Park--Lubbock TX

Leroy M. Savage

LUBBOCK - Leroy M. Savage, 78, formerly of Amarillo and Garland, died 
Thursday, Oct. 14, 1999.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Abbey Chapel of Resthaven 
Funeral Home with David Martin and Ray Bailey officiating. Burial will be 
in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Mr. Savage was born in Bryan County, Okla. He married Dorothy Capps in 
1941 at Amarillo. He was a veteran of World War II. He lived in Amarillo 
from 1940 to 1977 and then moved to Garland, where he lived until 1998. 
For the past year, he lived in Lubbock.

He retired from Dorchester Gas Producing Company. He was a member of the 
Church of Christ and had worked with the Boy Scouts of America and Kids, 
Inc. in Amarillo.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kay Reeve of La Place, La.; three 
sons, Lewis Savage of Dallas, James Savage of Amarillo and David Savage of 
Lubbock; a sister, Ferne Hooper of Fritch; and seven grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to Truth in Love, c/o Brown Trail Church 
of Christ at Bedford.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral 
home.
