Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Norman. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Highland Cemetery in Durant. Havenbrook Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Mr. Sparger was born April 25, 1932, in Durant, to Harry D. and Birdie Lee Moody Sparger. He grew up in Durant. He graduated from high school in Durant in 1950. He moved to Norman from Ada in 1968. He was a clerk typist for the Severe Storms Laboratory for six years. He was an Air Force veteran. He was a member of First Christian Church. Mr. Sparger was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers. Mr. Sparger is survived by his sister, Rebecca Sparger of Durant, and many nieces and nephews.
