All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Highland Cemetery--Durant OK James Franklin Spring James Franklin Spring, aged 53 years, died suddenly as result of a heart attack Friday night about 9 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Green Thompson here where he was rooming. He had been working all day and was preparing to make a motor trip out of town when he was stricken. The deceased, member of the Choctaw tribe, was born near Hugo, March 5, 1881. He has spent practically his entire life in Oklahoma and for the past eleven years has been land appraiser for the Indian department. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. A.W. Walker, Dallas, Mrs. J.B. Brown, Chickasha, Mrs. Richard Anderson, Talihina, and Miss Fairy Spring, Chickasha, and one son, Harold Spring, Chickasha. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Holmes funeral home chapel, with Rev. E. Hotchkin officiating. Burial was in Highland cemetery. ========= He was born: 3-5-1881 died: abt. 1934 He married Mrs. Rosa L. Bennett on July 5, 1928 in Bryan Co. Ok.
