Ernest Scott

SATANTA, Kan. - Ernest Scott, 81, died Wednesday, March 10, 1999.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in United Methodist Church with the Rev. 
Larry Myers officiating. Burial will be in Dudley Township Cemetery by 
Haskell County Funeral Home, Sublette.

Mr. Scott was born in Poteau, Okla., and came to Satanta in 1965 from 
Durant, Okla. He retired from the Kansas Department of Transportation in 
1979 as a heavy equipment operator for Barney Rogers Dirt Contractor in 
Ulysses. He was a member of United Methodist Church and of the Chamber of 
Commerce.

He married Bobbie Lea Wallace in 1941.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Becky LaFever of Ulysses and 
Penny Ferguson of Amarillo; a brother, Buran Scott of Port Arthur; five 
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials be to United Methodist Church and can be 
left at the Shopping Stop True Value in Satanta, or at the funeral home.
