Durant Daily Democrat 21 Feb 2005 Carl DeWayne (Wayne) Stout, 60 A memorial service for Carl DeWayne (Wayne) Stout, 60, Colbert, who passed away Friday, Feb. 18, 2005, at his residence, will be held in the Brown's Funeral Service Chapel Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, at 5 p.m. The Rev. Roger Speers will officiate. Wayne was born Oct. 13, 1944, in Olympia, Wash., to Carl Hudson (Pete) Stout and Mildred Violet McIntyre. He attended schools in Hammond and settled here in 1955 from Denison, Texas. Wayne did his duty for his country, serving in the U.S. Army from 1962-1966. He was a mechanic in the Vietnam War. Wayne continued working as a mechanic and eventually owned his own shop in Cartwright. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed fishing and camping. Wayne very much enjoyed going to Lake Texoma at West Burns Run. He was out there when the gates opened until the gates closed. Wayne always enjoyed when the whole family was out there so he could take the boat out and give everyone a ride on the tube or just cruise around. He loved being on or near the water. Wayne will be greatly missed by many. He was preceded in death by his father Pete Stout, mother Violet Stout and son Lee Stout. Wayne is survived by daughters Susan Stout-Person and husband Richard, Achille, Charlotte Stout and husband Sam, Achille, and Dottie Cato and husband John, Sherman, Texas; step-children Courtney Washer and Derek Washer, both of Sherman; sisters Violet "Jo" Stout Allred, Fort Worth, Texas, and Carla Catania and husband Frank, Bellevue, Texas; brother Arthur Lee "Stinker" Stout, Haltam City, Texas; eight grandchidren, Marty, Alex and Tristan Person, all of Achille, Christi Nichols and Dakota Walker, both of Achille, Callie Stout, also of Achille, and Crystal McClain and Jerry St. John, both of Sherman; and numerous other relatives and a host of dear friends.
