All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Highland Cemetery--Durant OK Durant Daily Democrat 9 Mar 2005 Verneal Statler, 37 A service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home in Durant for Verneal Statler, 37, Durant, who died Monday, March 07, 2005, at Medical Center of Southeast Oklahoma. Brian Sterbenz will officiate. Verneal was born August 7, 1967 in Pocahontas, Arkansas to Willie Raymond Statler and Emma Jane (Ward) Stoudt. She came to Oklahoma in 1983 from Corsicana, Texas. She loved to crochet, do crossword puzzles, play cards and dominos. She also loved kids, going boat riding on the lake and fishing. She was of Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Jane (Ward) Stoudt; father, Willey Raymond Statler; sister, Laura Ann Statler; Step-Father, William Paul Stoudt. She is survived by boyfriend, Donnie Grace, Durant, Oklahoma; daughter, Antoinette LaNeal Smith, Durant, Oklahoma; Son, Antoino Antwan Watson, Corsicana, Texas; Sisters, Peggy Rice, Durant, OK; Claire Bridges, Durant, OK; Donna, Florida; Pamela Montgomery, Florida; Shrealda Huddleson, Popper Bluff, MO; Brothers, George Webster Statler, Durant, OK; Stanley Williams, Michigan, OH; many nephews and nieces. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery with pallbearers Antonio Watson, Tommy Bridges, Robert Brown, Rayfell Rice, Justin Rice, Christopher Hanks, and Lonnie Rutherford. Family hour will be from 7-8 pm Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at the funeral home. Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
