All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Durant Daily Democrat 6 Jan 2005 Harold Lee Stone Services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday in the Colbert Baptist Church, Colbert, for Mr. Harold Lee Stone. Rev. Greg Johnson, Rev. Les Roberts and Rev. Ray Earley will officiate. Mr. Stone was born on Monday, Jan. 18, 1937, in Colbert to J.A. "Shorty" and Eva (Loper) Stone. He died on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, in Sherman, Texas, at the age of 67 years, 11 months, 16 days. Mr. Stone was a 1955 graduate of Colbert High School and resided in the Colbert river bottom until his death. He married Betty Redfern on Dec. 23, 1955. From this union he is survived by 2 children, Randy Stone and wife Michelle and Regina Sorrell and husband David, all of Colbert. He is also survived by grandchildren Magan Sorrell, Colbert, Michelle Harper and husband Bart, Atoka, and Ryan Sorrell, Mustang; great-grandson Hayden Harper, Atoka; three sisters, Jane Osborne, McKinney, Texas, Maynita Weger and husband Glen and Mary Weger, all of Colbert; brother Willis Stone, Colbert; aunt Juanita Ellis and husband Robert; one niece; five nephews; six great-nieces; and eight great-nephews. He enjoyed hunting. Mr. Stone loved to go to work. He enjoyed working with wood and making projects for family and friends. He loved and cherished his grandchildren and great-grandson. Mr. Stone was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Albert. Arnold Guymon, Doug Johnson, Nickey Guymon, Larry Spence, Willis Stone and Glen Weger will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Colbert.
