Elmer Smith, 67

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday West Hill 
Cemetery in Sherman Elmer Smith 87, Dallas, who died 
Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998, in Life Care Center in Plano, Texas.

A former Durant, resident, Smith was born on Jan. 3, 1911, 
in Madill.

He graduated from Mead High School; attended SOSU and served 
in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired as a civil 
service employee from Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City.

Smith married Peggy Parton on Dec. 21, 1946, in Denison.

Dalton-Holmes is handling the arrangements.
