Mother of Jean Schaefer and husband, Louis of El Dorado Hills and Don Wriggle and wife, Marcia of Bakersfield; sister of Carl Shepherd and wife, Prentice of Red Bluff. Also survived by four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great- grandson. A native of Caddo, Oklahoma, aged 89 years. A resident of Bakersfield from 1942 until 1969, Lorene owned three restaurants. She moved to Red Bluff where she became active in the Order of Eastern Star and the Nile Club (a Shriners womens club dedicated to sewing for the Childrens Hospital). She was also involved in a bowling league and enjoyed crafts. She was particularly talented at crewel and embroidery pictures. She resided in Red Bluff until 2001. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 23, at 1:00 p.m., at Green Valley Cemetery, Green Valley & Bass Lake Roads, Cameron Park, California.
