Files may be printed or copied for personal use only. ---------------------------------------------------- Mrs. Tennie (ANDERSON) SIMMONS Funeral services for Mrs. Tennie SIMMONS of Alex were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Alex Methodist Church. Rev. Joe Wallen officiated. Mrs Simmons died Oct. 8 in her home following a heart attack. She had been in failing health since 1949. She was born Jan. 24, in Fateville, Tenn. And had lived in Caddo and Alex since 1927. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Her husband, William H. SIMMONS, preceded her in death in 1944. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Ruby JACKSON of Wylie, TX; five sons, Ira and Roy of Alex, James and John of Wylie, and A.C. of Garland, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. Mattie JAMES of Whitewright, Tex., Mrs. Jimmie SANDERSON of Brownwood, Tex., and Mrs. Clara SIMMONS of Caddo; 17 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Interment was in Morris Cemetery at Alex under the direction of Sevier’s Chickasha Funeral Home..
