GEORGENE SIPES SHARP, 77

      Graveside funeral services will be held at 2  p.m. Friday at
Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo for Georgene Sipes Sharp, 77, of Norman.
The Rev. Tom Hoffman will officiate.  Mrs. Sharp died Tuesday, May 4,
1999 in Norman.
      The daughter of Enoch and Sue Haley Sipes, she was born May 24,
1921 in Milburn.  She was of the Methodist faith and attended Oklahoma
College for Women and Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
      She married Jones Cleveland Sharp on Dec. 19, 1941 in Caddo.
     She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 7, 1988, sister
Marguerite Sipes and uncle and aunt Fred and Mary Enah Haley Washington
of Caddo who raised her.
      Survivors include son Robert A. Sharp, Jacksonville, Fla.,
daughters Patti Benson, Norman and Susan Lee, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., seven
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
      In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Okla-
homa Medical Research Foundation, 825 N.E. 13th St., Oklahoma City, OK
73104-5097 or American Cancer Society Memorial Program, 4323 N.W. 63rd,
Suite 110, Oklahoma City, OK 73116-1513.
