Funeral services are pending for Mary Short, 65, of 
Durant, who died Wednesday, Jan 6, 1999 in Durant. 

Coffey Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Mary Lavurn Short, 65

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday 
in L.P. Coffey

Memorial Chapel for Mary Lavurn Short, 65, of Durant. 
The Rev. David Sanders will officiate. Mrs. Short died 
Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, in Durant. The daughter of Charley Ben and

Lenna Ruth (Hix) Short, she was born Monday, Aug 7, 1933, in Hopewell.

Miss Short was a homemaker and a member of the New Life Assembly of 
God Church. She loved to go fishing and visiting with her friends, but 
being with children was what she enjoyed most.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Roy Short in 1996 
and sister Frances Smith in 1998.
   
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
