Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Zion Lutheran Church in Pampa with the Rev. Michael Erickson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Shipman was born July 22, 1944, in Durant, Okla. He had been a resident of Pampa for 27 years. He married Donna Freeman on Oct. 1, 1966, in Clayton, N.M. He worked for Pioneer Natural Gas for 27 years. He owned and operated the Eagle Radiator Shop since 1994. He was a veteran of the Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Kate Shipman; and his twin brother, Blaine Shipman. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Eric Shipman and James Shipman, both of Pampa; six brothers, Zearl Shipman of Amarillo, Alvin Shipman and Calvin Shipman, both of Durant, Okla., Don Shipman of Denison, James Shipman of Greenville, and Carl Ray Shipman of Oklahoma City; a sister, Eveline Downs of Oklahoma City; and a granddaughter, Ashley Shipman of Pampa. The family suggests memorials be to Zion Lutheran Church, 1200 Duncan St., Pampa, TX 79065.
