"Ann" Tucker Services for Cora B. "Ann" Tucker, 65, Mead, who passed away Monday, November 29, 2004, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Saturday, December 4, 2004, at 10 a.m. Rev. Charles Loyd will officiate. Ann was born October 19, 1939, in Old Woodville, Oklahoma, to George Washington and Luellar (Whitley) Capes. She attended school at Woodville and East Ward. Ann married Carl Tucker in Tishomingo on October 29, 1960. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at VFW Post 3916. She was a charter member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, and she enjoyed crafts, garage sales, arranging flowers, painting and caring for her two dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Luellar; sister Minnie Mae Rodgers; brother William Perry Capes; daughter Mary Lucille Gamel; and half brother Bud Stevenson. Ann is survived by her husband, Carl, of the home; sons, Kenny Tucker and Jason Tucker, both of Mead, George William Capes, Durant, Tommy Dean Capes, Kyle Ray Capes, and Jerry Laney, all of Mead, Bill Capes, Durant, James Capes and Melvin Rodgers Jr., both of Mead; daughters, Norma Hardy and June Horton, both of Mead, Louise Biggs, California, and Rebecca Laney, Durant; 35 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; brother Coleman Capes; and sister Ida Whitley. Family hour will be Friday, December 3, 2004, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery. The family requests memorials be made to the Emmanuel Baptist Church Youth Group.
