Durant Daily Democrat Friday, February 13, 2004 Betty Talley, 73 Services are pending with Coffey-Murray Funeral Home for Betty Talley, 73, DeQueen, Ark., who died today in DeQueen. =========== Durant Daily Democrat Sunday, February 15, 2004 Monday, February 16, 2004 Betty Shirley (Malzahn) Talley, 73 A service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel for Betty Shirley (Malzahn) Talley, 73, who died Friday, Feb. 13, 2004. She was born Sept. 22, 1931, in Buffalo, N.Y., to Paul H. and Mary Donnie (White) Malzahn. She graduated from Russell Training School in 1949, and attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Mrs. Talley was a homemaker, enjoyed traveling and being with her family and friends. She married Austin D. Talley Feb. 3, 1951, in Rockwall, Texas. She traveled extensively with her husband for 26 years during his military service with the U.S. Air Force. Mrs. Talley was a member of the First Christian Church. Preceding her in death were her parents, brother Paul H. Malzahn Jr., and brother-in-law Hershel Eastridge. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery with Zack Fairless, Austin Paul Talley, Donald Malzahn Jr., Stan Eastridge and James Eastridge serving as pallbearers. Family hour is 7-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
