Talley, 80 A service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Restland Cemetery in Silo for Alton T. Talley, 80, Mead, who died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, at Oak Ridge Manor Nursing Center. The Rev. Roger Speers will officiate. The son of Marion and Annie (Thomas) Talley, he was born Sunday, July 31, 1924, in Mead. A lifelong Bryan County resident, Talley was an oil field worker and farmer and rancher. He loved working his cattle with his dog. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He married Jewel House on Nov. 25, 1942, in Silo. Preceding him in death were his parents, brother Emmit Talley, and sister Lorene Dunn. Survivors include his wife of the home, sons Michael A. Talley and wife Georgia, and Eddie K. Talley and wife Sue, all of Durant; grandsons Barrydon Talley, Plano, Texas, and Matthew Talley, Jay; granddaughters Sarah Matto and husband Brent, Wolfe City, Texas, and Marqeaux Talley, Bixby; brother Clovis Talley and wife Billie, Odessa, Texas; sisters Geraline Thomas and husband J.H., Mead, Marlene Luter and husband Carl, Bokchito, Linda Boaen, Calera, Anna Sue Mooney and husband Ronnie, Little Rock, Ark.; great-grandchildren Luke, Sean, Jacob, Emily, Cheyenne, Joshua, Jacob and Memphis. Family hour is 3-4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
