Evelyn Louise Tallant

Evelyn Louise Tallant, 72, of Amarillo, died Monday, April 20, 1998.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors 
Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle, with Phil Mercado, pastor of Trinity 
Fellowship, and Tom Malone, pastor of Living Waters Church, officiating. 
Burial will be in Llano East Cemetery.

Mrs. Tallant was born in Durant, Okla., and had lived in Amarillo since 
1964. She was an ordained minister and recently had earned her doctorate 
in theology.

She owned Evelyn Tallant Electrolysis Clinic. She was a member of Living 
Waters Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James William "Dub" Tallant, in 
1979.

Survivors include a daughter, Tonya Wilson of New Albany, Miss.; a sister, 
Jean Kirk of Amarillo; a brother, Gary Phipps of Kansas City, Mo.; and two 
grandsons.

The family will be at 2300 Atkinson. They request memorials be to Baptist 
St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center, Box 950, Amarillo, Texas 
79176-0001.
