Tyler, 95, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 1998. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle, with the Rev. Jerry Billington, associate pastor of Trinity Fellowship Church, and the Rev. Gary Kellison, pastor Bethel Assembly, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Tyler was born in Platter, Okla., and had been an Amarillo resident since 1950. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ. She married Alfred H. Tyler in 1919 at Milburn, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990, a son, C.L. Tyler, and a daughter, Margie Melton. Survivors include three sons, Melvin Tyler of Amarillo, Elvis Tyler of Graham and Walter Tyler of Lewiston, Calif.; five daughters, Ethel Mae Peterson of Pioneer, Calif., Vernice Montgomery of Princeton, Phyllis Smith of Sunray, Linda Pelham of Brownwood and Mellodean Mitchell of Amarillo; a brother, Earnest Alexander Spradling of Marshall; three sisters, Alta Lee Climmer of Tulsa, Okla., Julie Bell Palmer of Milburn and Artie Bloodworth of Tulelake, Calif.; 31 grandchildren; 46 great- grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Bryan County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/bryan/bryan
