Survivors omitted. Thursday, October 23, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Delia Malone Turner, 88 A service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hendrix Baptist Church for Delia Malone Turner, 88. Bro. Tony Fields will officiate. She was born Jan. 22, 1915, on the family farm near Hendrix, to Lon and Dex (Clark) Malone. She grew up working on the farm and graduated from Kemp High School in 1934. She married Vernon Lee Turner Oct. 1, 1938. She worked at Conroe's, Patterson's and Levi garment factories over the course of 46 years. She was a member of Hendrix Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on Sept. 17, 1985; and siblings Norman Clark, Cora Stanley, Mary Woolbright, Olene Stanley, Fannie Davis, F.H. 'Pat' Malone, Willie Love, J.C. 'Jim' Malone, Irene Caravella and F.H. 'Slick' Malone. Burial will be in Rosewood Cemetery, Achille, will pallbearers Norman McLaren, Brent McLaren, Derrick McLaren, Les Thomas, Charles Turner and J.T. McDonald. Honorary pallbearers are Christian Thomas and Tylor McLaren. Family night visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
