A service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Bible Baptist Church. Family hour will be 6-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. ============ Thursday, October 23, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Coy E. Vaughn, 61 A service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Bible Baptist Church for Coy Eldon Vaughn, 61, Durant, who died Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, in Durant. The Rev. Mark Wesley will officiate. He was born Monday, Sept. 5, 1942, in Norman, to Grady and Edna (Lovingood) Vaughn. He married Carol Niederer May 3, 1975, in Belle Mo. He was an active member of Bible Baptist Church. He was proud of his years spent working in law enforcement. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife. His second joy was riding motorcycles, especially with his grandson. He had a fondness for working with wood and spent many hours making cherished items for family and friends. He loved the outdoors. To him, his greatest privilege and honor was the love of his family and serving the Lord. He was a founding father and charter member of the Three Valley Motorcycle Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, and son Guy Vaughn Aug. 8, 1975. Final resting place will be Highland Cemetery. The Three Valley Motorcycle Club will escort the funeral procession. Pallbearers will be Virgil Manners, Rick Vandenburg, Joe Kirkpatrick, Carey Gilbert, Mike Kennedy and Brian Green. Honorary pallbearers will be Skyler Tidwell, Andrew Tidwell, Spencer Tidwell and Danial Hinson. Family hour is 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
