All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Durant Daily Democrat 25 Oct 2004 Mark Johnson Vansickle, 50 A service for Mark Johnson Vansickle, 50, Boswell, who passed away Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, in Durant, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Boswell. Rev. Dave Watkins will officiate. He was born Dec. 15, 1953 in Durant to Major Johnson and Martha Sue (Daniels) Vansickle. He married Pam Pulley in Boswell on July 14, 1973. Mark had lived in the Boswell area all of his life. He had worked for UPS for 17 years. He owned and operated the Rockin V Angus Ranch south of Boswell. Mark loved his family and enjoyed being with them and his friends. He was a cut-up and liked laughing and foolishness. He was a hunter, hunting deer and quail and going to the deer and fishing camps most every time he could. Mark enjoyed arranging the family reunions; he also liked having cookouts and playing dominoes with the boys. He was a good "tell you how to do it guy." Don't ask Mark for the truth, because he would tell you how it was whether you liked it or not. He was the most honest man we knew. He will be missed by all the lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Geneva Pulley; and grandparents Major and Emily Vansickle and Jim and Bessie Daniels. He is survived by his wife, of the home; two daughters, Wendi Sue Vansickle, Crane, Mo., and Melanie Joy Vansickle, Bonham, Texas; his parents, Major "Nub" and Martha Vansickle and father-in-law Earl Pulley, Boswell; one brother, Mickey Jay Vansickle and wife Glenda, Bennington; two sisters, Brenda Kay Beazle, Ada, and Peggy Lou Scott, Calera; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and close friends. Mark will lie in state at the Boswell Chapel. Interment will be at Restland Cemetery, Boswell. Family will receive friends today from 5-7 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton- Mills Funeral Home Chapel, Boswell.
