All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Amarillo Globe News 13 Aug 1997 Virginia Wilfong PORTALES, N.M. - Virginia "Ginger'' Wilfong, 61, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 1997. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Durant, Okla. Arrangements are by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales Inc. Mrs. Wilfong was born in Albany, Okla., and grew up in Durant. She lived in different parts of the country before moving back to Durant in 1970. She married Charles "Chuck'' Wilfong in 1970 at Durant. They moved to Amarillo in 1973 and to Denison in 1979. They returned to Amarillo in 1982 and lived in Amarillo until 1988, when they moved to Gallup. They moved to Portales in 1994. Mrs. Wilfong had worked as a bookkeeper and office manager. She was employed by an appliance store in Amarillo for several years. She also had been the assistant administration for a nursing home. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by a son, James Allen Caffee. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Danny Lewis of Big Spring, Texas, Bobby Lewis of Sherman, Texas, and William Caffee of Gallup; a stepdaughter, Angela Ferguson of Oklahoma City; her mother, Eula Wallace of Durant; two brothers, Ricky Wallace and Donnie Wallace, both of Durant; two sisters, Cleta St. Clair of Durant and Pat Manley of Ardmore, Okla.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Bryan County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/bryan/bryan
