All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Durant Daily Democrat 21 Dec 2004 Duayne Welborn, 69 A service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Live Oak United Pentecostal Church, Durant, for Duayne Welborn, 69, Durant, who died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma. Rev. Fred Waldrep and Rev. David Sanders will officiate. He was born April 28, 1935, in Caddo to Travis Lee Welborn and Sadie Katherine Hayes. He married Sandra Olsen Aug. 11, 1954, in Lubbock, Texas. He was a member of the Pentecostal faith, the Durant Elks Lodge and the Odd Fellows. He loved to collect knives and go fishing and hunting. He enjoyed music and going to the coffee shop with all his friends, but his greatest passion was to be surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Emery Welborn and son Rodger Welborn. He is survived by his wife; son Kerry Welborn, Durant; daughters Pamela Miller and husband Steve, Durant, and Tammie Martin and husband Roy Don, Durant; brothers Ray Welborn, Durant, Larry Welborn and wife Sunny, Mead, Garry Welborn and wife Janie, Houston, Texas, David Welborn and wife Angela, Durant; sisters Saundra Welborn, Durant, and Joan Albright and husband Bobby, York Haven, Penn.; nine grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery with his grandsons and nephews serving as pallbearers: Justin Lockler, Jeff Lockler, Jeremy Moon, Barry Dollar, Bob Graham, Jason Puttman, John Pair, Stacey Pair and Jason Mays. Honorary pallbearers are Roy Sterner, Bobby Brock and Weldon Meeks. Family hour will be from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
