Survivors omitted. Wednesday, October 22, 2003 Durant Daily Democrat Jack E. Wallace, 72 A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Highland Cemetery for Jack E. Wallace, 72, Durant, who died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma. The Rev. Michael J. Mattil will officiate. He was born Tuesday, July 14, 1931, in Oklahoma City to Jack E. and Sarah S. (Shipman) Wallace. He married Carol M. Weers April 10, 1952, in Sterling, Colo. He was a loan officer for the credit union from 1972-1974, then became a member of the board of directors for Johnson & Johnson in 1974. He served on the committee of Boy Scout Troop No. 643 from 1968- 72. He was a member of the Volunteer Fire Brigade at Johnson & Johnson from 1974-90. He was president of Grace Lutheran Church, Denison, Texas and also served his church as financial Secretary, vice-president and elder. He retired from Johnson & Johnson in February 1994, after 30 years of dedication, and moved to Durant in the fall of 1994. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Denison, for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John W. Wallace. Honorary pallbearers are T.J. Rose, David Goggans, Justin Boone, Brandon Thompson, Keith Harp and John William Wallace. Family hour is 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
