Durant Daily Democrat Wednesday, February 11, 2004 Blanche Williams, 79 Services are pending with Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home for Blanche Williams, 79, Durant, who died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma. =========== Durant Daily Democrat Friday, February 13, 2004 Blanche Williams, 79 Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church in Durant, for Blanche Williams, 79, Durant, for Blanche Williams, 79, Durant, who died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma. Bro. Darel Bunch will officiate. She was born July 8, 1924, in Caddo to Sam and Willie Myrtle (Braudrick) Armstrong. She is a 1947 graduate of Caddo High School and married G. W. Williams May 10, 1947, in Sherman, Texas. A lifelong resident of Durant, Williams was a homemaker most of her life. She worked two years as a secretary for Choctaw Chief Gregory E. Pyle, and worked for Achille Public Schools five years. She also worked for Home Health Care several years and was a long-time member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Durant. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Jan. 25, 1983. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Durant. Pallbearers will be Marvin Mitchell, Wesley Sherrod, Jerry Spencer, Ronnie Allen, James Granger, and Eddie Lake. Family hour is 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
