Williams, 93, formerly of Amarillo and Slaton, died Thursday, June 15, 2000, in Midland. Services will be at 2 p.m. in Llano Cemetery of Amarillo with the Rev. Jim Garrett, of Polk Street United Methodist Church in Amarillo, officiating. Arrangements are by Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton. Mrs. Williams was born in Caddo, Okla. She had previously lived in Heck Switch, Dumas, Amarillo and Slaton before moving to Midland in 1994. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She married H.E. "Jack" Williams in 1927 at Sayre, Okla. He died in 1999. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty J. McLaughlin, in 1993. Survivors include a son, Harold Dean Williams of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a daughter, Frankie M. Simmons of Midland; four grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the Midland Cerebral Palsy Center, 802 Ventura, Midland, TX 79705; or a favorite charity. Amarillo Daily News, June 17, 2000 =========== Caddie M.
