Winnett, 87 A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Colbert, for Hoyt J. Winnett, 87, Colbert, who died Friday, Oct. 1, 1999, in Denison, Texas. Bro. Quinton Gage will officiate. Mr. Winnett was born March 17, 1912, in Frost, Texas, to William and Etta Lo Winnett. In 1934, he married Ruth Mayfield in Durant. He was considered an old-time horse trader who owned and operated Winnett Feed in Colbert. He was also a rodeo producer. His pastimes were his family, dogs and paint horses. He loved to come home with a bouquet of flowers for his wife. Mr. Winnett was preceded in death by his wife; parents; granddaughter, Darla Rae Winnett; and four brothers and five sisters. The nephews and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Family hour will be 3-4 p.m. today at Coffey Funeral Home, Durant. Coffey Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
