Mrs. Winnett was born Feb. 1, 1918, in Hurricane, W. Va., and died Monday at her home. She came to Colbert in 1946 from Washington, D.C. and was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband of the home; a brother, Bobby Joe Ellis of Hurricane; two sisters, Peggy Cadman of Williamsport, Pa., and Gloria Chaney of Hurricane; and numerous nieces and nephews. Brother Quinton Gage will officiate. Burial will be in the Achille Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Winnett, George Hopkins, Milton Weems, Hoyt Weems, Ralph Mattingly and Gene Mattingly.
