Files may be printed or copied for personal use only. ---------------------------------------------------- Durant Daily Democrat August 6, 1985 page 8 Willie Calvin Winnett Service for Willie Calvin Winnett, 71, Colbert, is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Baptist Church of Colbert. Burial will be in the Colbert cemetery. The family will be at the Coffey Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. today to receive friends. Winnett, who lived most of his life in Bryan County, died in the Texhoma Medical Center Monday. He was born April 9, 1914 in Frost, Texas. A retired farmer, he married the former Goldie Chelf in Achille Aug. 6, 1938. She survives him. Other survivors include six sons; Ernest and Jerry, Colbert; Melvin and Tommy, Achille; Calvin, Calera; and John, Telephone, Texas; three daughters, Wanda Johnston, Beaumont, Texas; Linda kemper, Sherman; and Mary Emberling, Wilson; two brothers, J.D. and Odis, both of Colbert; two sisters, Ina Mae Ancell, Denison and Erma Jean Porter, Lawton; 15 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and one great grandchild. Bearers for Wednesday's service will be Malcolm Gage, Aron South, George Butler, Al Green and Ben Cowart.
