Durant Daily Democrat Friday, January 2, 2004 Russell York, 43 Services are pending with Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home for former Silo resident Russell York, 43, Englewood, Colo., who died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, in Dallas, Texas. ================= Durant Daily Democrat Sunday, January 4, 2004 Russell Wayne York, 43 A service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Silo Baptist Church for Russell Wayne York, 43, Englewood, Colo., who died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, in Dallas, Texas. Roger Speers and Scott Forlenza will officiate. He was born Sunday, Oct. 2, 1960, in Durant to James Vestal and Alta V. (Wolfe) York, and raised in Bryan County. He graduated from Silo High School as valedictorian of his class. He played basketball, baseball and golf at Silo and was a member of the golf team at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He received his bachelors degree from SOSU in accounting. He was a Certified Public Accountant specializing in tax accounting. He married Jean Marie Foley June 24, 2003, in Parker, Colo. He was a member of Crossroads Church in Parker, loved to fish and play softball and was an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents James W. and Robbie York and maternal grandparents Wayne and Beatrice Wolfe. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery, Silo, with pallbearers Cletis Skaggs, Bill Moore, Ron Trent, Billy Jack Bowen, Scott Forlenza and Paul Aycock. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Arnett, Travis Vanderpool, Peter Vasquez, Bruce Frederick, Jerry Frederick, Randall York, Jim Speers, Dennis Garrett, John Massey, Wendell Peoples, David Tollett, Mike Foley and Jeff Foley. Family hour is 3-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
