Richland school district #20 was organized in 1903 as 
a part of Caddo County. The first teacher was Edna Whitwell 
and Marie Clifton was the last. Clifton taught from 1950 until 
the school was closed in 1952. In 1953 the school was consolidated 
with Rush Springs School. Richland school was located seven 
miles west of Rush Springs to the Grady County line and south
