Officiating was the Rev. Bud Doughty, pastor of the Square Top Baptist Church. Burial was in the Gracemont Cemetery. Abbott was born 13-Apr-1902 in Campbell, Texas. He married the former Nannie Luivella Pope 03-Nov-1923 in Hunt county, Texas. He moved to the Gracemont area from East Texas 60 years ago and was a farmer. He was a member of the Farmers Union. Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers and one sister. Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Dalton Abbott of Gracemont and Cloyce Abbott of Anadarko; two daughters, Dorothy Morris of Moore, Ok., and Joyce McKee of Amarillo, Texas; one brother, Marvin Abbott of Gracemont, Ok.; two sisters, Ola Ivie of Gracemont, Ok., and Aline Elrod of Chowchilla, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
