He had three passions in life, his family, farming and ranching. He married the former Viola Marie Blakley Feb 8, 1946 in Anadarko. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1996. He served his country in the Korean Conflict as a staff sergeant and was decorated with the World War II Victory Medal. Hi lived all of his adult life in the Gracemont area and began farming and ranching in the 1940's Burial was in Anadarko's Memory Lane Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Chapel
