Officiating was Rev. Beryl Mackey. Burial was in Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko, Ok. under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. Mr. Askins was born 22-Feb-1930 in Oklahoma to Mr. and Mrs. K.A. Askins. He married the former Betty Jean Hill in 1951 in Midwest City, Ok. He moved to Chickasha from Hurst, Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church at Midwest City. He was employed by the State of Oklahoma as a toll gate attendant on the H.E. Bailey Turnpike. Preceding him in death was his wife and one son, Tony. Survivors include two daughters, his parents, one brother, and one grandson.
