Services were under the direction of the Steverson Funeral Home of Anadarko. Ackerman was born 23-Feb-1917 in Bristol, Conn. to Albert and Minnie (DEMMING) Ackerman. He married 16-Oct-1948 in Tucumcari, N.M. LaBerta DAY and they moved to Fort Cobb, Caddo co., Ok. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps in January of 1941. He received the American Defense Ribbon, the American Theatre Ribbon and the World War II Victory Medal. He was discharged 03-Dec-1945. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Survivors include his wife, two daughters and one sister.
