Officiating was the Rev. John Cahill, pastor. Visitation was held 02-Sep-1999 at Steverson Funeral Home in Anadarko. Burial was in Anadarko's Memory Lane Cemetery under the direction of the Steverson Funeral Home of Anadarko. Ms. Adams was born 05-May-1905 in Corning, Arkansas to John Riley and Fannie Mae (Gwynn) Long. She moved with her family to Stecker, Caddo county, Ok. in 1907 where she grew up and attended school. She graduated from Anadarko High School in 1922 and attended Anadarko Business College. She played the piano for the silent movies in theatres in Anadarko during the 1920's. She was employed at Fort Sill, Comanche county, Ok. as a bookkeeper for 28 years, retiring in 1969. She moved to Siera Vista, Ariz. in 1980, returning to Anadarko in 1990. She was a member of the Methodist Church, but had attended the Nazarene Church for many years. Her hobbies were gardening and crocheting. Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother; one sister; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; and by the father of her children, Jack Cabiness. Survivors include four sons and daughters- in-law, Carl Owen and Sue Cabiness of Oklahoma City, Ok., James Riley and LaVonne Cabiness of Norman, Ok., Guy Louis and Joyce Cabiness of Tulsa, Ok., and Tyrus Jack and Lena Cabiness of Pryor, Montana; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Gala and Larry Griffitts of Anadarko; Paula and Walter Seals of Moore, Ok., and Jo Ann Eaton of Anadarko; 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Thompson of Anadarko; four nieces and one nephew.
