ALLISON Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the First Baptist church for John C. Allison who died Friday at his home in Anadarko following an illness of about eight months. Rev. Doc Ramsey of Chickasha will officiate and burial will be in the Memory Lane Cemetery. Allison was born June 11, 1874 in Phelps county, Mo., and married Mary Jane Buffer in 1893 in Missouri. The couple came to Caddo Co. in 1915 from Missouri and moved to Anadarko in 1941. Allison was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife, five sons, William, Binger; John, Cecil and Alvin, Anadarko; and Alfred, Houston; six daughters, Mrs. Minnie Chapman, Southwest City, Mo.; Mrs. Lula Callahan, Mrs. Martha Sturgell and Mrs. Fae Sikes, Anadarko; Mrs. Mae Dumonte, Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Dora Henderson, Shafter, Calif. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Ada Havens, Quapaw and Mrs. Lula Gunn, Evansville, Ind.; 50 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren. Pall bearers for the service will be Allison's grandsons, Bill, Ralph and John Henderson, Harry Lee Callahan, and Richard and Cecil Callahan. Smith Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements. (NOTE: John Cecil Allison is buried in the old section of Memory Lane Cemetery in block #002, lot 20, space 4W. He was the son of Thomas Allison and Amanda 'Milly' Grider. His children's names and spouses were Minnie Allison/Orville Chapman; Martha Allison/William Henderson, Ott Sturgell; Dora Allison/James 'Jim' Henderson; Dicia Mae Allison/ Earl Capps, Richard Dumonte; Lula Ellen Allison/Ewing Paul Callahan; Opal Faye Allison/Lloyd Earl Sikes; William 'Bud' Allison/Opal Powell; John Henry Allison/Ellen Caldwell; Alvin Allison/Lola Self; Alfred Allison/Ruth _____; and Cecil 'Pete' Allison.
