Born Aug. 28, 1915, in Caddo County, Okla., he lived in Homeland for 23 years. He was a sheet metal worker for Douglas Aircraft. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Arthur is survived by his wife of 51 years, Yasuko Arthur of Homeland; son Anthony J. Arthur of Huntington Beach; daughter Jean McAlister of Buena Park; and five grandchildren. A graveside service is scheduled for 3 p.m. today, May 2, at Riverside National Cemetery, staging area No. 1, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., in Riverside. Private cremation is planned. Miller-Jones Mortuary & Crematory in Sun City is handling arrangements.
