All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constition October 4, 2003 William Addison Buckner CYRIL — Funeral for William Addison Buckner, 73, Cyril, will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Cyril First Baptist Church with the Rev. Kip Ackley officiating. Mr. Buckner died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003. Burial will be at Celestial Gardens Cemetery under direction of McRay’s Cyril Funeral Home. He was born Nov. 23, 1929, to Addison Edward Buckner and Grace Simmons Buckner. He lived in Cyril most of his life. He married Vera Pickle on Oct. 16, 1952, in California. They moved back to western Oklahoma and lived in the Martha and Blair areas until moving to Cyril in 1962. He hauled hay and other cargo before moving to Cyril, and pulled loads from the APCO Refinery since 1962. Survivors include his wife, of the home; two daughters: Lynda Edwards, Cyril; and Brenda Wallace, Choctaw; a son, Wayne Buckner, Cyril; two sisters: Christine Atwood, Springer; and Florence Cox, Fox; two brothers: Kendall Buckner, Blair; and Darrel Buckner, Sulphur; and five grandchildren.
