Baker died Wednesday, 15-Nov-2000 at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa. Officiating was the Rev. Scott Lenaburg. Pallbearers were Paul House, Randy House, Stanley House, Jim Schimmel, Bill Johnston and Gary Lenaburg. Music was by Elaine Bates. Burial was in the Lookeba Cemetery under the direction of the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home of Hinton. Baker was born 29-Aug-1954 in Anadarko, Ok. to Don and Patsy (House) Baker. She attended Lookeba-Sickles Public Schools from which she graduated in 1972. She earned a bachelor of science degree in biology at Southwestern State University at Weatherford, Ok. After receiving her degree she moved to Tulsa and began her career as a medical technologist. She was employed for 22 years in the medical lab at St. John's Hospital. Preceding her in death were her father, her paternal grandparents Frank and Frieda Baker, and her maternal grandmother Pauline House. Survivors include her mother of Lookeba; her maternal grandfather, Leonard House of Lookeba; one sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Jim Schimmel of Union City, Ok.; one brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Leigh Baker of Oklahoma City, Ok.; a nephew, Justin Baker Williams of Oklahoma City, Ok.; an infant niece, Reagan Elizabeth Baker of Oklahoma City, Ok.; two step nieces, Katelyn Jones of Oklahoma City, Ok. and Neely Thompson and her husband Brent, of Alex, Ok.; one step nephew and his wife, Dane and Lori Schimmel of Afton, Ok.; and a step great nephew, Zane Schimmel of Afton.
