Robert J. Beets Visitation for Robert J. Beets, 71, of Casa Grande will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Cole & Maud Mortuary Chapel. The funeral will be held there a 10 a.m. Thursday, with his son, Pastor Bob Beets, officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Mr. Beets was born Oct 29, 1925 in Anadarko, Okla., and died Oct 21, 1996 in Casa Grande. A 60 years Arizona resident, he served in the Navy during World War ll, beginning in 1944, and was discharged in 1946. He worked with heavy equipment in mine construction. In addition to his son Robert J. of Casa Grande, he is survived by his wife, Carol; two other sons, Darren of Florence and Shannon of Hartley of Florida; three daughters, Diane Penrod of Pinetop- Lakeside, Sharon Riffe of Oklahoma and Sheila Gardner of Casa Grande; two sisters, Thelma Smith of Cottonwood and Juanita Sanders of Bakersfield, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
