Botone-Enriquez VERDEN - Funeral for Cleo L. Botone-Enriquez, 70, Verden, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at J.J. Methvin Church, Anadarko. A prayer service will be from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the church. She died Saturday, June 14, 2003, in Anadarko. Burial will be at Memory Lane Cemetery under direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home, Lawton. She was born April 17, 1933, to Frank Moses Botone and Lucy Blanche Jackson. She grew up in the Anadarko area. She married Marcos "Mickey" Enriquez Sr. on Nov. 12, 1955, in Oklahoma City. He died in February 1984. She attended elementary school at St. Patrick's Catholic School and Riverside Indian School. She attended Bacone College where she was voted campus queen. She belonged to the Oklahoma Inter-Tribal Guild, which produced contemporary dresses and other fashions with traditional Indian designs, from 1949 to 1954. She attended Cameron University Nursing School in 1957, and worked as a nurses' aide in Anadarko, Chickasha, Oklahoma City and New Mexico. In 1964, she participated in the Bureau of Indian Affairs Relocation Program to Dallas and attended Draughon's Business College. Survivors include two sons: Marcos Enriquez Jr. and Kevin Botone Sr.; a daughter, Karen Whitefox; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Robin Botone; five nephews; 11 nieces; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Flora Schrock; and a brother-in-law, Harry Schrock. She was preceded in death by her parents.
