Officiating was the Rev. D. Wayne Loftin. Burial was in the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home of Carnegie. Belase was born 28-Mar-1956 in Anadarko, Caddo county, Ok. to Dee Roy and Barbara (Cole) Belase. He married the former Margaret Kent 27-Jun-1975 in Carnegie. He lived his entire life in Carnegie and graduated from Carnegie High School in 1974. He owned and operated Belase-Coalson Carpet for 15 years. in 1978 he joined the Carnegie Fire Department and later became Fire Chief in 1991. He served on the Carnegie Firefighters Pension & Retirement Board and the Private Industry Board of the Association of South Central Oklahoma Governments. In 1993 he received the Carnegie Citizen of the Year award. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, Floyd and Imogene Cole; and his paternal grandmother, Lola Belase. Survivors include his wife of the home; one son, Derrek Belase of the home; one daughter, Marissa Belase of the home; his parents of Carnegie; two sisters, Debbie Foil and her husband, Phil of Hobart, Ok., and Sandy Belase of Oklahoma City, Ok. and his grandfather, James Belase of Carnegie.
